Sage 100 Integration Documentation

(Using the Visual Integrator Tool)

This page will guide you through mapping and uploading the CSV data files generated by PDFDataNet into Sage 100 to create the new sales orders.

Sage 100 & Visual Integrator Instructions

1. What 'Visual Integrator' Is Used For
  • The module used to upload CSV files, produced by PDFDataNet’s extraction of your Sales Orders/Sales Invoices (and other types of source files), into Sage 100 is a tool called Visual Integrator.
  • This requires your IT team to configure the data uploads within Visual Integrator (under Import Job Maintenance) to meet your specific requirements (for example any UDF fields you may have setup).
  • You can then save this process to your Jobs Menu so that you can always have easy access (although once setup/saved you shouldn’t really need to go into this, unless you need to make changes to the format of the CSV file/upload into Sage 100).
  • You can see further information regarding the Visual Integrator tool here.
2. Configuration Example
  • Below is an example of a Import Job Maintenance for configuring the Import Sales Orders (or choose a different document format you want to import) option:

3. Import CSV File Into Sage 100
  • To test the process open Document Indexing and drag your source file into the program – check that the data has been extracted correctly, click Save and this will then export a CSV file in your specified Export Path within our program.
  • Next open Sage 100 and go to Home > Modules > Visual Integrator > Jobs Menu > Import Sales Orders (or choose a different document format).

  • A dialogue box will then appear, simply click on the Folder button and locate the specified Export Path for PDFDataNet CSV files and open one of the CSV files to import it. Once chosen click the Accept button.

  • Once complete you can then checkover the data that has been uploaded to make sure everything is as expected.
