OiC License Supervisor Documentation

This program is used to manage PDFDataNet licenses and user slots. Older installs of PDFDataNet may not have this program installed (and therefore licenses will have been provided through a manual process).

Set-up OiC License Supervisor

Below are instructions on how to manage your license using the OiC License Supervisor program.

1. Add Your License To OiC License Supervisor
  • If it is your first time using this program, you will need to click the drop-down option at the top left and click Connect to OIC Server
  • At the top-right, click the Badge & Options button.
  • You will need to request your Badge via the Support Portal.
  • A dialogue box will then open for you to add your Badge – once added press OK to activate/save the Badge.

  • Then click the Refresh button at the top-right, you will then see your license in the list.
  • You can now also see the number of Slots you have allocated and the number that have been Used vs how many are Free.
  • If you have an issue with all slots being taken, please see our Disconnect A User Slot instructions.

2. Add Your License To Document Indexing
  • Open the Document Indexing program.
  • A dialogue box will then open for you to add the following:
    • Server:  OIC Server (select from drop-down)
    • Badge: You will need to request this via the Support Portal
    • Desc: Define a name of the computer (for example the user’s name / something distinctive)
  • Then press Test (this tests the connection to your chosen Server and checks whether the Badge is valid).

  • If all is working ok it will return a green tick icon and will say that connection to the license server/an available user slot was found.
  • Click OK to save the license details.

  • If you get an error message after clicking Test, similar to the one in the image below, please click the Copy to clipboard button and then paste/send the error message to us via our Support Portal (so that we can look into this/get it resolved for you).

Disconnect A User Slot

To be able to disconnect user slots you would have needed to follow the instructions above for “1. Add Your License To OiC License Supervisor“.

1. Open OiC License Supervisor. You will then see the number of Slots you have and how many are Used vs how many are Free.

2. Click your Pool name to see a list of names using your user slots.

3. Right-click on a name and select Release.

4. Now click Refresh at the top-right, this will then allow another user to connect to your Pool.

Have An Older Program Version?

These are the set-up and release a slot instructions for any version before the release of version 7.2023.02.14. Below are instructions on how to manage your license using the OiC License Supervisor program.

1. Connect To The OiC License Supervisor Server
  • Open the OiC License Supervisor program
  • Click Connect > Choose server

  • A dialogue box will then open, simply add the Server IP Address which is: 51.104.43.133

2. Add Your License To OiC License Supervisor
  • Once the Server IP has been added and connected to in step one, click the Options button
  • You will need to request a Badge via the Support Portal
  • A dialogue box will then open for you to add your Badge – once added press OK to activate/save the Badge

  • Then click the Refresh button at the top – you will then see your PDFDataNet license listed
  • You can also see the number of Slots you have allocated and the number that have been Used/are Free

 

3. Add Your License To Document Indexing
  • Open the Document Indexing program
  • A dialogue box will then open for you to add the following:
    • Server:  51.104.43.133
    • Badge: You will need to request this via the Support Portal
    • Desc: Define a name of the computer (for example the user’s name / something distinctive)
  • Then press Save

  • This will then add/activate your license key for PDFDataNet
4. Disconnect A User Slot
  • Open the OiC License Supervisor program
  • Click Connect to OiC Server

  • Click on your Pool name

  • You will then see a list of the user’s that are using a slot
  • Right-click on a user and select Release

  • This will then allow another user to connect to your pool
